DAY01. ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / DRIVE TO TANA TORAJA (L,D)

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will be welcomed by our Tour Guide. Then transfer directly to Tana Toraja with approx. 8 hours drive passing through the Buginese Villages with its typical wooden houses built on stilts. First visit will be made in SUMPANGBINANGAE, a local Bugis fishermen village where we can see their traditional PA’BAGAN fishing system. Here we also can find some local activities of the fishermen on their free time in mainland. Lunch will be served at KUPA BEACH RESTAURANT, offers lunch with stunning sea and island view. In the afternoon, stop also will be made at Puncak Lakawan for having coffee-break while enjoy the spectacular view of the erotic Mt. BUTTUKABOBONG. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Rantepao – the capital of North Toraja Regency. Dinner and overnight stay at Toraja Misiliana Hotel.

DAY02. TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will take you on a full day excursion around Toraja. In the morning we will visit LEMO where we can find stone graves on the cliff-sides with rows of effigies called TAU-TAU representing for the deaths. After that, proceed to SANGALLA sub-district where we will visit TAMPANGALLO, one of the most ancient burial caves in Tana Toraja. Here we can find entombed bones are set in the corners of cave, and impressive ancient coffins and Tau-Tau effigies. Then taking about 15 minutes walking to SUAYA to discover the majestic and authentic small Torajan villages offer the sensation of peaceful. Then in Suaya we can find the graves of the former SANGALLA ROYAL FAMILY. Afterwards, drive about 20 minutes to KOTE where you will be experiencing the extra-ordinary story about the Baby Graves on Tree. Lunch will be served at PANORAMA RESTAURANT, where you can taste and enjoy the typical Torajan cuisines; such as PAMMARRASAN (meat with black seasoning) or PAPPIONG (Chicken Cooked in Bamboo). After lunch, we will take you on a soft walking tour around KARUAYA to enjoy the fascinating villages, hills and rice terraces including the local activities. Before going to the hotel, we will take our time to visit the most glorious and important village of the Toraja Community which is KETE’ KESU where we can find old Torajan Tongkonan Houses and Rice Barns. This village is also listed as one of World Heritages by UNESCO. After enough time, back to TORAJA MISILIANA HOTEL for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY03. TORAJA TOUR (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will take you on another full day Tour exploring the north part of Tana Toraja. For the first visit, we will take you to LONDA, where we can find the strangest and most spectacular grave in world. After that, we will visit BOLU to discover the buffalo market where we will get know how important and how precious the buffalos are for the Toraja people in their funerary rites. Then proceed to BORI to find the ancient monoliths and a Torajan house, decorated with more than 300 buffalo horns. Our tour will be continued to SA’DAN Weaving Center where you can see women weave the traditional Toraja Ikat and Sarong. This village also offers a very nice ambience with its authentic houses, river and mountain with rice terraces. Then visiting PALLAWA, an ancient Torajan village where you will find the original style how do the Torajan live in each community. After that, driving up to TINIMBAYO Highlands where we can make nature photography stop, capturing the beautiful wild-rice terraces dotted with small villages with many rocks spreading over on the rice fields. Lunch will be served at SAMAN BATUTUMONGA Café & Restaurant, offers fantastic and breath-taking view of Rantepao, surrounded by rocky-mountains. After lunch, we will visit the giant rock of LO’KOMATA which is full of graves. In the afternoon, we will take you on a soft adventure around LANDORUNDUN, a village which is more remote where we can enjoy walking tour quietly and peacefully with impressive villages and marvelous rice-fields. Then back to Rantepao VIA BUNTULOBO. Dinner and overnight stay at TORAJA MISILIANA HOTEL.

DAY04. TORAJA – TENTENA / 9 HOURS DRIVE (B,L,D)

At 8.00 AM, depart for TENTENA, a Central Sulawesi’s region, located on the North-Shore of LAKE POSO. The drive from Tana Toraja to Tentena offers one of the most picturesque mountainous views in Indonesia. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant en-route. In the afternoon, arrive in Pendolo, a small district on south-shore of Lake Poso. Here we will take our time for photo-stop with the marvelous view of the sunset over the lake. Afterwards, drive through to Tentena for dinner and overnight stay at SIURI COTTAGES.

DAY05. TENTENA – AMPANA /4-5 HOURS DRIVE (B,L,D)

In the morning, we take our time to enjoy the atmosphere on the white-sandy beach of the Lake-shore, where we can swim on this crystal water lake. Lunch will be served on the restaurant of the Siuri Cottages. After lunch, drive to Ampana, a small town which is situated on the South Coast of Tomini Bay. Late in the afternoon, arrive in Ampana. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant, and overnight stay at MARINA-INN AMPANA.

DAY06. AMPANA – LUWUK / 4-5 hours drive/MOKOKAWA & PYALA WATERFALL (B,L,D)

After breakfast, set out to LUWUK for approx. 4-5 hours drive. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luwuk. After lunch, we will take you on a nature tour to MOKOKAWA Waterfall & Pyala Waterfall, where those waterfalls are 2 most impressive multi-stepped waterfalls in Indonesia. Afterwards, check in at SWISS-BEL Hotel Luwuk for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY07. LUWUK – ISLAS BANGGAI / BANGGAI TOUR (B,L,D)

At 7.30 AM, check out hotel. Then transfer to the LUWUK PORT to catch our speed-boat to Banggai Islands (3-4 hours on speed-boat ). Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Banggai/simple restaurant. After lunch, we will take you to MANDEL Beach where we can swim or just relaxing on the quite white sandy-beach. Dinner will be served at a simple restaurant in Banggai. Overnight stay at SIDAPORE Home-Stay/Simple Accommodation.

DAY08. EXPLORE LAKE PAISUPOK + PAISU BATANGO WATER-SPRING / TRANSFER BACK TO LUWUK (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we will take you to LUK PANENTENG VILLAGE where we will have a boat trip through the LAKE PAISUPOK, the crystal water Lake and has been confessed that it is the clearest water lake in the world. We will also take our time for swimming on the PAISU BATANGO water-springs. Picnic Lunch will be served on the spot. Around 14.30 PM, transfer back to the center of Luwuk. Dinner and overnight stay at SWISS-BELL Hotel Luwuk.

DAY09. TRANSFER TO LUWUK AIRPORT TO CATCH YOU FLIGHT TO MAKASSAR BY BATIK AIR ETD 15.05 pm / ETA. 16.30 pm. (B)
